I am having a really hard time running the drain.
Dishwasher drain through floor.
Connecting a dishwasher using a high loop.
I will drill holes through the joists just under the floor to the sink.
If pipe above water line has build up knock it off with a drain brush.
There is a hole drilled from the basement right below the dw so the water hose going in and the drain hose are through that opening the drain hose then is routed to a p trap nearby but it is indeed also accessed from just below the floor.
My idea is to drill a hole in the floor and run it right under the floor.
A high loop means that the dishwasher drain hose is installed so that there s a u shaped bend above the point where the hose is connected to the drainage system.
When a large amount of soap is used the soap suds expand so much that the soap comes through the dishwasher door and overflows onto the floor.
I decided i would add a drain under the floor with a p trap loop the dishwasher drain line right behind against the dishwasher and have it go through the floor into this p trap and tie the p trap off a tee that was used for venting the laundry tub.
My dishwasher is around the corner in my kitchen from my sink.
Now the repair guy brought up the possibility of the drain through the floor siphoning water out of the dw while in use.
I have ran it this way but i still cannot get the dishwasher to drain properly.
Using a dollar store dishwashing detergent can also cause this issue as cheap soap can create excessive suds.
When i get there i will raise the.
The dw already has a loop integrated on the side of the unit which starts at its drain at the bottom goes all the way up the side of the unit then back down where it then goes through the floor.
Make sure water at water line is fresh and if it s a floor sink clean it and run drain basket through dishwasher.
